Our Trainers’ Favorite Exercises

It doesn’t feel like it’s been 5 years since opening the doors to Axiom and welcoming the wonderful people of the Treasure Valley into Boise’s premier fitness experience. But it has been. As our members would agree, the thing that makes Axiom special are the people and employees. So to celebrate, we’ve decided to ask our trainers to name their favorite workouts and exercises. Here are the Top 5:

Bent Over Row

“This is an incredible exercise because one can feel their whole body working while doing it. It is a compound exercise that involves multiple joints and muscle groups working together to accomplish a great pull movement.”
—Tyler Eisenbess (Meridian)

Dumbbell Lateral Raises

“This is a great way that one can feel their shoulders working. It can be challenging to find exercises that isolate and target a particular body part, but this one always puts my deltoids on notice and provide a great workout.”
—Chelsea Larson (Meridian)

Assisted Machine Dip

“This is a great machine because it allows the user to get all the benefits of a body weight dip with the safety of an assisted machine. The dip is a great exercise for your chest and triceps.”
—Elizabeth Elmore (Fairview)

Incline Dumbbell Press

“This great exercise allows you to strengthen your upper chest while providing the many benefits that come with using free weights. I enjoy the additional triceps activity that originates from the pressing motion as well.”
—Dave Curtis (Village)

Sumo Deadlift With High Pull

“I love this exercise because it works the legs and lower back like a deadlift normally would, but with the additional benefits of shoulders and back activation due to the high pull.”
—Amanda Boyce (Parkcenter)
